Who we are
The Permaculture Academy is a new learning community. Until it has its own organisation, Siftware Ltd looks after the details you give us and is the data controller. Siftware Ltd is registered in England and Wales (company number 05778639), registered office Powys House, Market Square, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, Powys SY10 0JG, and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZA217518).
What we collect
When you register your interest we keep:
- your name
- your country
- your email address or WhatsApp number
- whether you have done a Permaculture Design Course
- that you agreed to be contacted, and when
- a scrambled form of your internet address, used only to stop spam
Why we keep it
Only to contact you about the academy: news of the pilot opening and an invitation to join. We don't sell it, share it for marketing or add you to any other list. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Where it is kept
On our own server in Germany, within the EU. Only the academy's founders can see it.
How long we keep it
Until the academy has launched and you've had the chance to join, and no longer than 2 years from when you registered. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
When the academy has its own organisation
Your details move to that organisation, which becomes the data controller. Before they move, you get a message from us, and you can ask us to delete them instead.
Analytics
We count visits with privacy-friendly analytics that use no cookies and don't identify you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Email darren@permaculture.ac and you'll get a reply within a month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your details, please raise it with us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). If you live in Uganda or Kenya, you can also contact the Personal Data Protection Office (Uganda) or the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (Kenya).
